Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - Flight to Khovd

Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Khovd, the capital of Khovd province. Our team will be waiting for you. After lunch, you start with a visit to the local museum. Dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel Steppe.

Day 2 - Northern Blue Cave

After Lunch drive to Khoid Tsenkher cave (Northern blue cave) 98km. The rock paintings of the cave dating back 40,000 years ago rightfully considered as world class evidence of the Upper Paleolithic period. Various symbols and animals painted with rosy and brown colours deep inside the cave depict a quietly standing stage, a buffalo with horns, oxen, ibexes, elephants, ostriches, and two-humpedcamels. On the way we can see the Khar Us Lake. Overnight stay at Ger camp near Jargalant Mountain

Day 3 - Jargalant Mountain Hike

Jargalant Khairkhan Mountain is an isolated extension of the Mongol Altai mountain range. Located in the middle of Khar Us Lake Depression, the diversity of habitats and wildlife at the site is rich in many ways. Habitats vary from high-mountain tundra, alpine meadows and high-mountain steppe to arid steppe. Rare mammals found on the mountain include Argali Ovis ammon, Siberian Ibex Capra sibirica and Snow Leopard Uncia uncia. Goitered Gazelle Gazella subgutturosa occurs in the foothills, and Siberian Marmot Marmota sibirica occurs in the middle and lower part of the foothills. Rare plants, like Altai Onion Allium altaicum and Roseroot Rhodiola rosea, can also be found at the site. Overnight stay at Ger camp near Jargalant Mountain.

Day 4 - Jargalant Mountain hike (2nd day)

Continuation of Day 3 with mostly same itinerary of day 3, (B/L/D) At ger camp.

Day 5 - Tsambagarav Mountain

Tsambaragav mountain welcomes campers with its majestic peaks and serene ambience. As one settles into camp, the surrounding beauty of Mongolia unfolds, creating an unforgettable backdrop. The mountain's elevation promises crisp air and breathtaking vistas, a haven for those seeking a tranquil escape. hiking and enjoying stunning photographic opportunities are available in this spot. Overnight stay at a ger camp (B/L/D).

Day 6 - Tolbo Lake

Drive to Tolbo Lake. From the Khar us Lake to Tolb Lake is 230km. Admire the beautiful view of majestic mountains on the way. Break the trip near the steep Tolbo Lake and free hiking there. Overnight stay at a ger camp.

Day 8 - Flight back to Khovd

Board the domestic flight in the morning and depart to Ulaanbaatar. (B)
