Juulchin Reviews Juulchin!

Welcome to the first monthly series of Juulchin Reviews Juulchin!

We want to start off by personally thanking Mr.Carlo for his contributions to our series by allowing us to use his review after his tour.

Here's a background to his review

A wonderful 4-day trip in Mongolia, organized by Juulchin according to my wishes : we have been to Kharakhorum, Tsonjin Boldog, XIII Century Camp and Terelj National Park. Everything was absolutely perfect, Azjargal helped my with organizing the tour and my guide Temuge and driver Artag were great. Honestly, if you are in Mongolia I strongly recommend you to contact Juulchin : they will really make your stay there unforgettable!

We want to express our absolute joy to hear this and want to congratulate the team that made this possible, without our guide & driver and managers Juulchin would not be the Juulchin we know today!

Interviewer: Welcome back, Carlo! We heard you recently visited Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Nuur Lake. Can you tell us about its significance?

Carlo: Absolutely, it’s great to be here. Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Nuur, or the Blue Lake of Black Heart, is incredibly important historically and culturally. Located in Khentii province, it’s believed to be where Genghis Khan was declared the Great Khan of the Mongol Empire. The lake is beautiful, surrounded by rolling hills and steppes, and it’s special to the Mongolian people.

Interviewer: That sounds fascinating. What can travelers expect when visiting this historic site?

Carlo: Visitors can expect a peaceful and scenic environment. The deep blue lake against the vast landscape is stunning. It’s a perfect spot for connecting with nature and history. People enjoy picnicking, hiking, and soaking in the calm atmosphere.

Interviewer: Were there any memorable moments from your visit?

Carlo: Definitely! After visiting the lake, our car got stuck in the mud on the way back. It turned into a hilarious episode with everyone pushing the car, covered in mud, and laughing non-stop. It was a great bonding experience and one of our favorite stories to tell.

Interviewer: What other attractions in Eastern Mongolia should travelers consider?

Carlo: Eastern Mongolia is full of hidden gems. Besides Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Nuur, I recommend visiting Kharkhorin, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire, and the Erdene Zuu Monastery. The 13th Century Complex is also fascinating, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Mongolian Empire.

Interviewer: Can you tell us more about the Erdene Zuu Monastery and the 13th Century Complex?

Carlo: The Erdene Zuu Monastery, built in the late 16th century, is Mongolia's oldest Buddhist monastery, with beautiful temples and artifacts. The 13th Century Complex is a theme park that offers an immersive experience of traditional Mongolian culture, including clothing, crafts, and games.

Interviewer: Any tips for travelers visiting these sites?

Carlo: Plan your visit during warmer months, dress in layers, and wear comfortable walking shoes. Hiring a local guide can enhance your experience with valuable insights. Be respectful of the sites and the local culture as they hold great spiritual and historical significance.

Interviewer: We also heard you visited Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. Can you share your experience there?

Carlo: Gorkhi-Terelj National Park is one of the most breathtaking places I’ve visited. It’s known for its stunning landscapes, with open meadows, rugged mountains, and dramatic rock formations. We hiked to Turtle Rock, visited the Aryabal Meditation Temple, and enjoyed horseback riding through the meadows. The local people were incredibly welcoming, and staying in a ger camp was a memorable cultural experience.

Interviewer: Any final thoughts for our readers?

Carlo: I highly recommend visiting both Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Nuur and Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. They offer unparalleled natural beauty and a chance to immerse yourself in Mongolian culture. Just be ready for a bit of adventure and fun along the way!

Interviewer: Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. Safe travels on your next adventure!

Carlo: Thank you! It’s been a pleasure. I hope my stories inspire others to visit these incredible parts of Mongolia.
