The Playtime Music Festival is Mongolia’s largest and longest-running annual music festival, held in Ulaanbaatar. Founded in 2002, the festival has grown from a one-day event into a multi-day celebration of diverse musical genres. Playtime features a wide range of music styles, including rock, pop, indie, hip-hop, metal, and electronic music. It showcases both Mongolian and international artists, creating a vibrant platform for cultural exchange and musical discovery. 

Event Details 

When: Traditionally held in early July, just before the Naadam Festival. The upcoming festival is scheduled for July 7–10, 2026. 
Where: The festival takes place at Playtime Field in the suburban district of Nalaikh, approximately 50 km from Ulaanbaatar’s city center. The venue can welcome up to 30,000 attendees daily and promotes sustainability through eco-friendly initiatives.
