Day 1 - Arrival
Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will be greeted by your guide and driver. Transfer to the hotel. Half and full day tours are available upon request.
Day 2 - Ulaanbaatar city tour
Begin your trip by visiting Gandan monastery - the largest Buddhist center in Mongolia. Afterwards, visit National History Museum and Sukhbaatar square at the city center. Enjoy lunch at a Mongolian restaurant. Continue your day with a visit to Bogd Khan Winter Palace and Zaisan Memorial Hill. Enjoy Mongolian traditional folklore concert followed by welcome dinner. Transfer to the hotel. (L/D)
Day 3 - Middle Gobi / Baga Gazriin Chuluu (220km)
Early morning, begin your journey to Rock Formation known as Baga Gazriin Chuluu; it is a unique formation of rocks that stretches far and wide. After lunch at a ger camp, visit ruins of an ancient temple and explore the area. Dinner and overnight stay in a Ger camp (L/D).
Day 4 - Middle Gobi / Tsagaan Suvarga (280km)
After breakfast at the camp, drive to Tsagaan Suvarga which may be translated as the White Stupa. The name was given to this limestone cliff because of the way it looks from a far. Hiking and photo shooting opportunities will be present. Overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 5 - South Gobi / Yol valley (280km)
Drive further south. Arrive at the Three Beauties Mountain range of the Gobi National Park. Spend the day on an excursion to Yol Valley, hiking and enjoying stunning photographic opportunities. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in a Ger camp (B/L/D).
Day 6 - South Gobi / Khongor Sand Dunes (200 km)
After breakfast, drive to Khongor Sand Dunes known as the Singing Dunes. A climb up to the sand dunes will be rewarded with breathtaking view. In the evening, observe a spectacular sunset; be sure to prepare your cameras. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in a Ger camp (B/L/D).
Day 7 - South Gobi / Khongor Sand Dunes
Enjoy a free relaxing day with opportunities for camel riding and trekking along the dunes. In the evening, attend a dinner with Mongolian traditional barbeque. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 8 - South Gobi / Bayanzag (150 km)
Drive to the world-famous Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag), rich in saxaul trees of Gobi. Explore the site of the first paleontological discoveries in Mongolia by following the footsteps of Roy Chapman Andrews (January 26, 1884 – March 11, 1960), an American explorer, adventurer and naturalist. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a Ger camp (B/L/D)
Day 9 - Middle Gobi / Ongi Monastery (150 km)
After breakfast, drive north and visit the ruins of the once great Ongi Monastery. Tour the monastic grounds that are undergoing renovation and learn the Monastery’s history. Dinner and overnight stay in a Ger camp (B/L/D)
Day 10 - Orkhon Waterfall (370 km)
After relaxing in the morning, we will drive to Orkhon waterfall. Waterfall was formed by unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes about 20.000 years ago. The fall is most impressive after a heavy rain. The Orkhon waterfall is the tallest waterfall in the country and is located at historically important Orkhon valley. Dinner and overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D).
Day 11 - Karakorum / Erdene-Zuu Monastery (160 km)
After breakfast, drive to Karakorum, once the capital of the 13th century Great Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene-Zuu Monastery, which was the first and the largest monastery in Mongolia built on the ruins of the ancient capital. Tour the monastery and visit several temples with excellent examples of Buddhist Thangka paintings and statues dating back to the 17th century. Visit the Karakorum museum. Dinner and overnight stay in a Ger camp (B/L/D).
Day 12 - Tsenkher Hot Spring (115 km)
Drive to the Tsenkher hot springs today. Spend the day relaxing in a natural spa and walking in the surrounding forest. Please do not forget to pack your swimsuit for this day. Optional massage and beauty services are available. Enjoy the spa again after dinner. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a Ger camp (B/L/D).
Day 13 - Khorgo Volcano & White lake (215 km)
Drive to the magnificent volcanic area of Khorgiin Togoo, which is located on the eastern shore of Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan. Today, you will have plenty of opportunities for hiking, please wear hiking shoes to climb up the volcanic crater. Dinner and overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 14 - Jargal Jiguur / Zuun Lake (105 km – 170 km)
After breakfast, start the drive to Jargal Jiguur hot spring. The spring comes out from a depth of 150m and its water is not mixed with soil water due to its high temperature. The camp transfers the hot water via pipes. Enjoy the stargazing in the hot spa in the pool. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D) Optionally, you can elect for an overnight stay next to Zuun Lake instead.
Day 15 - Khuvsgul lake (240 km – 320 km)
In the morning, drive north to Khuvsgul province. Please keep your cameras handy, photo opportunities will present themselves often. In the late afternoon, reach the beautiful Khuvsgul Lake and settle at the ger camp located closely to the shore. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 16 - Khuvsgul lake
Explore the breathtaking shores of Mongolia’s biggest and most beautiful freshwater lake. There is an opportunity to go horse riding and boat riding. After lunch, visit a reindeer herder family and learn about the customs of Tsaatan people (also known as Dukha). Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 17 - Uran togoo (400 km)
After breakfast, drive to Uran Togoo, an extinct volcano in Bulgan province. You will have a scenic drive with endless green pastures and the deep blue sky. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 18 - Amarbayasgalant monastery (220 km)
In the morning, start your journey to Amarbayasgalant Monastery, or the "Monastery of Tranquil Felicity" – one of the three largest Buddhist monastic centers in Mongolia. The monastery was established in 1727 and completed in 1736 to serve as a final resting place for Zanabazar (1635–1723), the first Jebtsundamba Khutuktu, or spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhism for the Khalkha Mongolians. His remains were transferred to a newly created temple in 1788. Amarbayasgalant was one of the very few monasteries to have partly escaped destruction during the Stalinist purges of 1937. Visit and explore the grounds of the monastery. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 19 - Selenge Province-Mongolian Secret history camp (245 km)
Drive to beautiful Aglag Buteel Monastery and enjoy its beautiful surroundings and Buddhist heritages. This monastery is located 100km from the capital, Ulaanbaatar. The monastery was built to the south of Garid (Garuda) Uul, a stunning mountain with larch forest. Enjoy a walk around the monastery and explore its rich heritage. Dinner and overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)
Day 20 - Ulaanbaatar city (100 km)
In the morning, drive to Ulaanbaatar city and arrive in the afternoon. Transfer to hotel after lunch. (L)
Day 21 - Departure
Transfer to the railway station or the airport for international departure.
