Northern Mongolia is home to some of the most fertile and lively places in the country. It is also home to one of the most unique ethnic groups of Mongolia – the reindeer herding Tsaatan people. The majority of them live near or around Khuvsgul Lake and may be visited. This tour provides great opportunities to experience the colorful Khuvsgul Lake with relative comfort.

Day 1 - Ulaanbaatar. (B/L/D)

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to selected hotel. After lunch, take city tour including Sukhbaatar Square, National History Museum and then visit Zaisan Hill War Memorial to get your bearings with a panoramic view of the whole city. Enjoy traditional concert and have a dinner.

Day 2 - Fly to Murun/Khuvsgul Lake. 120km (B/L/D)

Transport to the airport. Fly to Murun, the capital of Khuvsgul province, and have lunch in a local restaurant. Transport to the tourist GER camp at the base of Khuvsgul Lake. Have dinner and spend the night at the tourist Ger camp. Overnight in tourist GER camp

Day 3 - Khuvsgul Lake/Reindeer people (B/L/D)

Have breakfast at the tourist GER camp. Take a full day to explore the breathtaking lake, to go swimming, to go horseback riding or to go fishing. There is ample opportunity to discover the lifestyle of the local nomads. Go hiking and take pictures along the shorelines of the lake, which is home to many different kinds of birds and other wildlife. Have dinner and spend the night at the tourist GER camp. Overnight in tourist GER camp

Day 4 - Fly back to Ulaanbaatar (B/L/D)

Have an early breakfast at the ger camp. Drive back to Murun to catch the flight to Ulaanbaatar. Transport to the hotel from the airport. Have free afternoon for your leisure time and shopping. Overnight at selected hotel

Day 5 - Ulaanbaatar (B/L/D)

After eating a relaxing breakfast, visit Bogd Khan Palace Museum. After lunch, visit Gobi Factory Store. Have farewell dinner in a nice restaurant, which has a panoramic view of the city of Ulaanbaatar. Overnight at selected hotel

Day 6 - Ulaanbaatar (B/L/D)

After breakfast transfer to the airport or train station for your international departure
