Day 1.              Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will be greeted by your guide and driver. Transfer to the hotel. Optional half and full day tours will be available.

Day 2.              Khustai National Park (120km)

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Khustai national park founded in 1993 to reintroduce Mongolia’s wild horse Takhi (Przewalski horse). These wild horses which were unique to Mongolia became extinct in 1960s. In the early 1990s these beautiful creatures were reintroduced from the Western zoos and they have taken well to their freedom. Best time to see them is during their early morning or evening watering time. Overnight stay in a Ger camp. (L/D)

Day 3.              Kharkhorin     (285km)

After breakfast at the camp, drive towards the town of Kharkhorin located on the site of the capital of the 13th century Great Mongol Empire. The town is home to the Erdene Zuu monastery, which was the first and the largest Buddhist monastery in Mongolia. The monastery was subject to Stalinist Purge of 1937 but parts of the monastery survived.  Tour the monastery and visit several temples with excellent examples of Buddhist Thangka paintings and statues dating back to the 17th century. Visit the Kharkhorin museum which presents a display of a wide range of artifacts that can be traced back to the periods of the Great Mongol Empire and even the Turkic state which ruled Mongolia in the 6th century CE. Day 4.              Tsenkher Hot Spring   (120km)

In the morning, drive to the Tsenkher hot spring located in Arkhangai province. The province had large amounts of volcanic activities in the past times which has left an exotic image in many of its areas. Spend the day enjoying a full access to a relaxing natural spa and trekking in the surrounding forest. Please do not forget to pack your swimsuit for this day. Day 5.              Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake           (240km)

Drive to the magnificent volcanic area of Khorgo located on the eastern shore of Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan. The area is surrounded with many myths and legends dating back to the past centuries. On the way stop by the volcano and have picnic lunch. Then continue driving to the Ger camp by the lakeshore. Leisure time in the afternoon. Overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)


Day 6.              Khojul Gol (River)      (170km)

Drive to mountain Marz in the Khangai mountain range and reach river Khojul. This river has a unique spot where sandy river bank joins with the larch forest. Optional activity to visit the local market/bazaar of Tosontsengel town (15km) is available. Overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)


Day 7.              Ulaagchiin Khar Nuur (Lake) (110km)

In the morning after breakfast start the journey to one of the most untouched lakes Ulaagchiin Khar Nuur (Lake). Enjoy the lake shore activity. Overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 8.              Ulaagchiin Khar Nuur (Lake) – Senjit Khad – Mukhart river – Ulaagchiin Khar Nuur (Lake  (170km)

In the early morning, after breakfast, drive up to the mountain top and proceed to drive through the rocky gate called Senjit Khad to reach the Mukhart River. And drive back to the lake for overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)

Day 9.              Khojuliin Gol (110km)

Drive to mountain Marz in the Khangai mountain range and reach river Khojul. This river has a unique spot where sandy river bank joins with the larch forest. Leisure and optional activities will be available. Option will be present to visit the local market/bazaar of Tosontsengel town(15km). Overnight stay in a Ger camp. (B/L/D)


Day 10.            Zuun Lake       (100km)

Drive up to the North in order to reach Khuvsgul Province. This large lake is the scenic highlight of Khuvsgul province. There is excellent camping all around, or you can stay at the Ger camp, located on a hill overlooking the southern shore. This blue dollop of water is located 13km north of Shine-Ider soum and about 100km southwest of Murun town. Overnight stay in a Ger camp at Zuun Nuur (Lake) shore. (B/L/D)


Day 11.            Khuvsgul Lake (240km)

In the morning, drive north into the Khuvsgul province. The province is home to Asia’s second largest freshwater lake Khuvsgul. Keep your cameras close as photo opportunities will be present. In the late afternoon, reach the beautiful Khuvsgul Lake and settle in a Ger camp located on the lakeshore. (B/L/D)


Day 12.             Khuvsgul Lake

Explore the breathtaking shores of Mongolia’s biggest and most beautiful freshwater lake. Optional activities will be available for horse riding, photo shooting, trekking and jet boat renting. Optional for visit a reindeer herding family. Overnight stay in a Ger camp on the lakeshore. (B/L/D)


Day 13.             Murun (130km) - Ulaanbaatar

In the morning, drive back to Murun town to catch a flight to Ulaanbaatar city. Enjoy a lunch upon landing in Ulaanbaatar city. Shopping in Mongolia’s finest cashmere & souvenir store are available on request. Attend a Mongolian traditional folklore performance followed by a farewell dinner. (B/L/D)


Day 14.             Departure

Transfer to the railway station or the airport for international departure.
