Day 1/ Jul 16 Ulaanbaatar
Day 2/ Jul 17 Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex and Terelj National Park (L/D).
Day 3/ Jul 18 Ulgii town (L/D).

Day 1/ Jul 16 (Thu). Arrival / Ulaanbaatar
Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will be greeted by your guide and driver. Transfer to a hotel. If time permits optional half or full day city sightseeing is available on request.
Day 2/ Jul 17 (Fri). Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex and Terelj National Park
After breakfast, drive to Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex, 60 km East of Ulaanbaatar. The World’s tallest equestrian Statue (40m) is dedicated to Chinggis Khaan whose descendants would conquer almost half of the known World during their reign. The complex is home to number of souvenir stores and Mongolian traditional clothing section. Visit the cultural museums located at the basement of the statue complex. Before departing, climb to the top of the Statue and gain a view of the surrounding area. The Statue symbolically face to the east towards his birthplace and statue dedicated to his mother. Then drive to Terelj National Park. Spend the day touring the area and enjoying the magnificent alpine scenery. There are great opportunities for hiking, rock climbing and horse riding. You can visit a nomad family, explore their unique lifestyle, and experience horse riding. Return to your hotel for overnight. (LD)
Day 3/ Jul 18 (Sat). Ulgii town/ Khovd River
On this day you will take a domestic flight to Ulgii town and upon arrival will drive to the Khovd River for camping on the bank. Overnight stay in a tent or local hotel. (LD)
Day 4/ Jul 19 (Sun). Khoton and Khurgan Lakes
Drive to Khoton and Khurgan Lakes. On the way there will be a visit to Kazakh families to experience their nomadic lifestyle and then set up a camp early. Meet our local guides and prepare for the trekking. Overnight stay in a tent. (BLD)
Day 5/ Jul 20 (Mon). Khoton and Khurgan trekking day
The trek will begin on this day. Trekking will be over a terrain of gentle hills and small flat valleys that lie along the Khoton Lake. The area is dotted with white Gers of Kazakhs who live in the area. Also, you will spot few ancient circular tombs where the perimeter circle is marked with stones with rocks piled in the center. Overnight stay in a tent. (BLD)
Day 6/ Jul 21 (Tue). Tsagaan Gol Valley
On this day drive to Tsagaan Gol Valley with lunch on the way. Arrive at Tsagaan Gol Valley in the evening. Camp next to a Tuvan family and visit the family to meet them and experience their lifestyle. Overnight stay in a tent. (BLD)
Day 7/ Jul 22 (Wed). Tsagaan Gol Valley
The hike on this day is around 18 km through Shiveet Khairkhan mountain which is famous for its petroglyphs. Camping on the banks of Tsagaan Gol. Overnight stay in a tent. (BLD)
Day 8/ Jul 23 (Thu). Potanin Glacier
On this day the hike will be 18 km. The group will reach Potanin Glacier and camp there. The glacier stretches for 17km. View of the five highest peaks of Altai Tavan Bogd Mountains can be enjoyed from here. Overnight stay in a tent. (BLD)
Day 9/ Jul 24 (Fri). Climbing to Malchin Peak
On this day the group will climb Malchin Peak which is one of the five highest peaks of Altai Tavan Bogd. The peak is 4,049 meters above sea level. Overnight stay in a tent. (BLD)
Day 10/ Jul 25 (Sat). Tsagaan Gol Valley
This is the last day of trekking and we will make our way back to Tsagaan Gol Valley to meet our local drivers. We will have a farewell dinner with our local camel and horse guides. Overnight stay in a tent. (BLD)
Day 11/ Jul 26 (Sun). Ulgii town
The group will drive back to Ulgii town. Check-in to a local hotel upon arrival in town. If time permits, we will visit local bazaar and walk around the town. Dinner in a Muslim restaurant. Overnight stay in a local hotel. (BLD)
Day 12/ Jul 27 (Mon). Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast the group will drive to airport for a domestic flight back to Ulaanbaatar city. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check in. (B)
Day 13/ Jul 28 (Tue). Departure
Transfer to the railway station or airport for international departure. (B)

Accommodation in a hotel or hostel in Ulaanbaatar, hotel extras, such as telephone calls, bar bills and laundry services, travel insurance, medical insurance, visa application fees, alcoholic beverages, personal expenses such as items of personal nature, gratuity to local guides and drivers, airfare or train tickets, airport taxes, excess baggage charges (over 33 pounds / 15 kilograms), changes of arrival/departure flights, additional services, any charges of force majeure beyond our control (e.g. imposition of quarantine restrictions, etc.), optional excursions unless stated in your itinerary, etc.
Since the trip will be in the mountainous, high-altitude region of Mongolia, and the weather can be very unpredictable and you might even experience snow, we suggest you to bring the following:

- Woolen socks
- Sleeping bag (rated for -10°C to -15°C)
Please bring the above in addition to your usual gear and items for such a trip.
