Manzushir Monastery

Manzushir Monastery, located in the lush greenery of BogdKhaan Mountain less than an hour’s drive from Ulaanbaatar, is open from May through October. Visitors can hike on forested mountain slopes and explore the ruins of an ancient Manzushir Monastery, which had 20 temples and over 300 monks when it was fully functioning prior to 1937 destruction.

Day tour

09.00 am Pick up at the hotel. Drive to Terelj National Park. Excursion to Turtle Rock on the way

11.00 am Hiking to Aryapal meditation temple

14.30 pm Visit a nomadic family and do horse-riding

Overnight tour

Day 1 Terelj National Park: Drive to Terelj National Park. Explore Turtle Rock and lunch at the camp. Hike to Aryapal meditation temple. Visit nomadic family and stay overnight in a ger camp near the family. (L/D)

Day 2 Ulaanbaatar: Enjoy the day with the family, exploring their lifestyle by learning how to milk the cows and produce dairy products. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to the hotel. (B)
